Bentley Spain is an associate in Andersen, Tate & Carr’s Corporate & Business Transactions Group.
Bentley earned his J.D. from the Georgia State University College of Law. During law school, Bentley served as an Associate Research Editor for the Georgia State Law Review where he co-authored the article, “HB 478: Amendments to the Rules of Evidence Regarding Expert Testimony in Criminal Cases.” He was selected to serve as a pupil in the Bleckley Inn of Court during his third year of law school, and he spent time serving as both a Graduate Research Assistant for Georgia State’s Pre-Law department and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in GSU’s Andrew Young School of Policy Studies. Bentley also served as a Judicial Intern for Superior Court judges in Cobb and Fulton County while he completed his J.D.
Prior to law school, Bentley was a four-year letter winner in football at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he started 34 games at left tackle. Bentley was elected a permanent team captain for the 2017 UNC football team and was a member of the UNC Football Leadership Council and UNC Athletics’ Student Athlete Advisory Council (“SAAC”). Bentley earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sport Science, with a concentration in Sport Administration.
Bentley lives in Brookhaven with his fiancé, Stephanie, and their bernedoodle, Donut.
